Sterling Vineyards is one of the most famous Napa vineyards, due to its great Bordeaux and the enclosed tram that travels above the grape fields. Take a walking tour with tasting stations along the way, or pay extra to get into the wine barrel and stomp some grapes. In the fall, the winery hosts grape stomping events and a pumpkin carving competition. Most of the events are for guests over 21. Great winery that has a cave and a cute little gondola! They currently are only open to wine club members, but their member pick up events are WELL worth signing up for that membership. The wine is delicious and their staff are extremely friendly and make you feel right at home.

This review is specifically for a 2017 Merlot from Sterling Vineyards. See the label in photographs. Absolutely loved this wine. To brighten the experience and enjoyment we used thin walled crystal glasses and paired it with manchego cheese. Thank you Sterling for such a wonderful wine.

Spectacular views and outstanding wines in Calistoga, Napa Valley! Fun trip up the aerial tram to the top! My sister and I visited with our sons in 2017. Vineyard will be reopening for tours and tastings in spring/summer 2023.

Very pleasant experience. Wine was alright, the experience was definitely worth it. Kid friendly, we had brought a little one on with us. We used a ski lift to get to the actual building. Such nice smooth ride and beautiful scenery. There is a walk through the entire building and a terrace up top. You could order a cheese board and grab a seat to enjoy the scenery.
