  • Beautiful! It's a quiet stretch of beach away from the crowds. No 2 sunsets are alike so it's always a first. Perfect for walking your dog. Early morning sunrise is even better!

  • I love the boardwalk. The quiet location is perfect for a nice getaway. Watching the sunset over the ocean at night is perfect.

  • Interesting beach, as its filled with tiny pebbles (and dark sand). I went there to collect moonstones but there wasn’t many, and the ones I found were tiny… but I did have a nice drive down there and it was a serene & beautiful beach. Too bad I missed the seals sunbathing though, as I got there in the afternoon… I think they usually sunbathe in the morning…
  • Moonstone beach is one of my favorites. I love to visit the town of Cambria and we will always stop by when in town. There are a lot of nice hotels and lodging along the waterfront area. There’s lots of driftwood on the beach that people use to build some crazy looking structures. We’ve been very fortunate to see dolphins I the water jumping and playing. Moonstone is just another beautiful California beach!
  • I love early morning walks on Moonstone. You basically have the beach to yourself to enjoy the ever changing landscape and local characters. The local fox scavenging whatever has washed up overnight, some wayward deer playing in the surf or the mist of the morning fog glowing with the rising sun are just a few of the pleasures. What a way to start the day!
  • Very pretty beach with a rustic boardwalk made of wooden planks. Lots of wildlife to see from sea birds to ground squirrels and even garter snakes. Very relaxing and pretty views.
  • It’s been 4 years since I’ve been here! Can’t wait to stop by and visit again! Amazing beach! All the amazing colored stones that replace the sand is mind blowing!
