Out of Africa Wildlife Park, Camp Verde

Great wildlife and safari experience! This self-guided excursion is wonderful and much better than a zoo trip. The animals are extremely close and active, and the keepers are fantastic with both the animals and the visitors. If you have time and can plan it right, make sure you do the safari tour! We had the chance to see nearly all the animals on the reserve and the option to feed the giraffes!! For those that are less mobile, there is a 4 shuttle stations throughout the loop that have trams every 20 minutes or so. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The price may seem like a deterrent, but our experience was far more engaging and animal interactive than any we’ve had while visiting zoos.

This place is absolutely AMAZING!! My family and I (3 kids 10 and under) came and did the safari and the feeding of the tigers. The animals came right up to the vehicle! It was amazing to see. The staff were all extremely friendly and funny. Best family friendly experience we’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!!!

A truly wonderful place. Well worth the trip. Not so crowded which was nice, able to see the animals up close. They really are majestic. The handlers seem to really love their job. Animals well cared for. Great experience all around. A must see.

We just did the tour yesterday with Vin. We absolutely adored every minute of this place. Like all the reviews stated, the zoo keepers love all the animals like their own. Vin would call each animal by their name and they would come running. They all are very happy and have nice big natural enclosures. The zebras made us laugh how they would run in front of the truck until Bin threw them good to the side to move out of the way! He also got the tigers to jump up pretty high for good and we got yo feed the beautiful giraffes. All the animals are well taken care of. We have driven by this place probably 1000 times and never thought to stop until my cousins came from out of town and read about it! So hey you local Arizonians need to go!

I loved this place, I came here for the first time on a Friday morning to avoid all the traffic and people coming on a weekend. The staff is super nice and our tour guide Jane was so adorable, we loved her corny jokes she did an amazing job. We did the supermog tour, it is very educational and the animals are shown up close as they talk about how they came to be at the park and interesting facts about them. The animals are VERY well taken care of. The enclosures are huge and they are loved so much I’m glad they are able to keep them so happy and educate people about wildlife. With everything you see in the news it’s always nice to see the babies here so happy. I wish all zoos and wildlife parks were like this towards these beautiful creatures. The owners are very involved in the park and I admire that very much because the park itself has been open for such a long time, it’s amazing they can keep up and take in so many animals after all these years. I love the schedule the park arranged. The tours are followed by shows in between certain times so it gives you enough to grab a quick bite and get a good seat. (Food is limited, wish there was more but I would’ve spent a ton of money so not a big deal because at least the food they had was good!) I’m glad I came here, it was for my anniversary and my husband and I enjoyed every part!
