April's Maple, Canaan

Fantastic food! Awesome staff; extremely personable and friendly. Fast service and an adorable gift shop! Did I mention how phenomenal the food was?!! The Vermonter grilled cheese was absolutely to die for! And be sure to order the cornbread no matter what you get!

We all indulged in April's soft serve maple ice cream. No artificial flavors here I'll tell you...it was delicious ! Unfortunately she wasn't open for other than deserts and coffee but it was enjoyable just the same. April was energetic and very personable as she talked about her business and family. We'll be sure to come back to April's Maple when she's open on our next trip to the Northeast Kingdom and our Canadian neighbors.

In love!! I am from out of state, and I always make sure when I am in the area visiting that I stop at April's to re-stock on all things maple! I have never been disappointed with anything from this store, or the restraint! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Ok, so here's the thing: I almost hate giving away the location of a great spot! April's Maples is amazing, or, more appropriately, it's wicked good! Tucked away in the northeast corner of Vermont, on the border of Canada, this place is worth the drive from wherever you're coming from. You can sit outside around the fire and eat fireside enjoying the sounds of the running leach creek, or inside the lodge in its cozy, rustic dining space. April and her staff are beyond friendly and the food is fantastic. We have had breakfast and lunch multiple times and have never been disappointed. I would absolutely recommend adding maple sausage to any breakfast order and the Maple Spice Coffee is our go to hot drink! If you can fit it, don't leave without a maple creamie and some maple syrup extras. Coming back tomorrow! Rob and Jenn.

Devious shakes, love the chocolate, Maple, extra thick and sweet. Great sandwiches too. But the homemade chili is one of my favorites, plus you can take home, a frozen 2lb. container for later.
