Royal Gorge Bridge and Park boasts the highest bridge in the United States, spanning the gorge at 291 m (955 ft) above the Arkansas River. You'll appreciate the view by crossing the bridge on foot to peer down into the canyon below. In the park, you'll find a sky coaster that carries you over the gorge at high speeds. A gondola ride down the river adds a little romance to the great outdoors, while ziplines and mini trains allow you to give your feet a rest. $160 for 6 people to walk across a bridge. Essentially everything else was closed, including the gondola, which was the reason we went.

Network service here is poor but the staff were really helpful in lending me a phone to call a cab. It was cold and windy, trembled a bit on the bridge but made it to the end and watched the video...

What an amazing view! I really enjoyed the day. Consequently, there was a storm coming in, so we were not able to ride the gondola across the canyon. The Park Ranger Michael was so kind. He gave us a really nice history of the park, and let us know if we came back the next day our tickets would still be valid. The Raphtor Show was really educational. The landscaping is pretty. It was worth the drive! Go check it out!

Last time I visited here was about 15 years ago, so it's been awhile! But it was as awesome as I remember it being from back then! Although they were still allowing cars to drive over it back then, I definitely like it more now that it's mostly pedestrian traffic. I highly recommend reading the history of the bridge on the walls to the left hallway once you get past the ticket area. General admission tickets include the red gondola ride, so go get on that! And if you're brave enough, go do the zip line! Love this tourist spot and it's always really cool to see engineering masterpieces like this!

This was a fantastic experience. We took the gondola across the Gorge then walked across the suspension bridge on the way back. We enjoyed watching the movie on how it was built and it’s history and really loved the bird show highlighting the owl, the hawk and the vulture. This was a fun place for all ages and we learned a lot. We saw a kid get stuck out in the middle of the Gorge on a zip line which made for an exciting rescue!! The prices are a little high for food and water so if you are on a budget bring a picnic and your own water. Longhorn sheep were cool to see and there were also wild deer in the park. Give yourself an entire afternoon to really enjoy it.

We arrived to Royal Gorge Bridge and Park after a snow storm the day before. The weather was beautiful staging a nice sunny day. This historic landmark was worth the almost two hour drive to get there. While most of the activities were closed due to winter maintenance, we were lucky enough to have been able to ride the gondola. The gondola alone was worth the cost of the ticket of admission. The landscape continued as far as the eye can see, beautiful gorges and canyons that you could have taken in for hours. For those that are scared of heights, I have a fear as well and managed to walk across the bridge with comfort. Don’t let fear keep you from experiencing this park.

It is definitely a beautiful area! Today the gondolas were closed because of high winds! The winds were in excess of 40-50 mph. It was cold with the wind chill but beautiful!! We also watched the movie on how the bridge got its start and how the fire in 2013 effected the area, as a lot was completely devastated by fire! Everything had to be rebuilt around the bridge. Thankfully not much of the wooden planks on the bridge were damaged by the fire. But they are now presented in front of the building that houses the ticket booth, restaurant, restrooms and gift shop! Enjoy your trip!
