National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, Casper

Enjoyable couple of hours learning more about the trails (Oregon, California and Mormon) settles took through the Casper area. There is also an exhibit describing a battle that took place between local Indians and U.S. Army in the area. Several interactive activities both children and adults can experience. Stunning views of the valley. Volunteers were both welcoming and informative. Restroom facilities are clean. Gift shop is available.

Had a great group visit at the National Historic Trails Museum. Starts in the Native American section and leads through the Platte River crossing of the Oregon Trail and the modern rail and oil and gas. Excellent visit. Our hosts arranged some snacks in the lounge area. We spent a little time outdoors. The museum has several great interactive exhibits include a wagon crossing the Platte River, pulling a hand cart, movie, and many artifacts. A wonderful opportunity to learn more about the history of Casper.

Love this place. Very beautiful exhibits and fun for kids too. Beautiful gift shop and items. Fun to learn about all the settler trails that converged here. Hope to see more native American exhibits in the future!

A nice little museum that highlights the western expansion of the US. Great for kids, but even as a lone adult I enjoyed it too. Lots of good in depth information here for adults, and lots of interactive exhibits for children as well. I’d recommend taking your time going through here, and reading though the plaques. I spent about 3 hours here reading through everything. Free stickers too!

Historical information presented by live actors during this 4th grade field trip was very professionally designed. Great job by everyone 👏. We had 100 young kids and they were entertained for over 4 hours. None of the kids I was watching were bored. The day flew by and was very enjoyable for all. There is quite a few places to park with handicap ♿ accessible parking, and inside the museum. There is a pretty long entry ramp which will be easy going in, but a bit of a challenge coming out up the hill to the parking area. Very nice entertaining event for the whole family 👪
