Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, Charles Town

The casino is fine. A decent amount of table games with reasonable minimums. Tons of slots including new machines. I like the sportsbook and bar at the sports book. Don't forget to watch the horses race too! They have a couple of bars and a food court with the food you'd expect at a food court. They have a nice steak restaurant that my partner and I enjoyed very much. Not too expensive for an app, steak entrees and a bottle of wine. We've gone for a stand up show. Not going to see top tier talent necessarily, at least not for stand up comedy, but we really enjoyed the Tom Papa show. Tons of musical acts too. Check out their website. Typically rules allowing smoking in some areas and the place can get busy so be prepared for that.

I use to go here every week and did well.... before the pandemic. I get good comps but the machines just seem tight and I normally use to bring home quite a few jackpot slips. In the past year I've gotten 2. Nowhere near what I did before. It just take the fun out of Charles Town. As for the casino atmosphere... I love it!

This was our 1st time to visit. It was overwhelming at first. Lots of lights and noises. Very clean. Always someone picking up trash at the machines. I had an issue in the beginning, but I was assisted and explained what I had done. Yes. It was my fault...pay CLOSE attention to how each machine works...quick way to lose $50 in 2 plays! UGH! TOTALLY MY FAULT! The manager was helpful and explained what I misunderstood. Won't make that mistake again. LOL. Staff was very friendly! We didn't eat or drink but walked around a lot to see how things work. Restroom was clean. Waitresses walking around selling drinks. We look forward to returning again soon.

I love this casino but the payouts tend to be a little on the low side with the slots. I have not played any table games or sports betting , so I can not speak on it. The place is always very clean. Downfall to it is the shuttle busses quit running to the hotels at 2am. The hotel is nice but could use some upgrades for sure, but the price is very reasonable

We love this place! We venture here often, win some and lose some but the staff are always friendly and attentive. The restaurants are good, not so much worth the $$ but decent foods. The best thing WE like is that you CAN smoke! As smokers there’s few and far places we can smoke and we enjoy it here!!
