Mom has always wanted to see a plantation. So during one of our many visits to MUSC we decided to stop. The ladies up front were wonderful. Kat our tour guide was so knowledgeable and passionate about the McLeod history. She was also very patient with us. I am very thankful for the extra time Kat took to make sure we were able to go inside the big house. Best wishes on your thesis.

Absolutely loved this tour! Noah was fantastic. He did a wonderful job painting the picture of what life was truly like on the plantation, it was not all hoop skirts and mint juleps. Noah gave a lot of information about the property and those that lived and worked there. The plantation and the grounds are beautiful.

This is a modest plantation compared to Boone Plantation and not as much to see. The first floor is open to visitors but there are no furnishings to help you transport you back to that era like Boone plantation had. The grounds are also not as extensive. They had tour guides to walk you through its history but for the $20 entrance fee, I’m not sure it was quite worth it. If you’re trying to decide which plantation to visit, I’d pick Boone over this one.

Tour Guide Kat was great!!! She did an amazing job, was friendly and well informed. Nice plantation house with a rich history. The massive oak trees and Spanish moss were beautiful.. Ticket was pricey but worth it if you're there in time for a tour

This place changed something in me. It was an absolutely amazing and heart wrenching experience. Toby was an absolutely amazing tour guide. We had such an immersive experience because of Toby’s amazing way of transposing you in the time and place with their stories. I highly recommend seeing this plantation if you want to learn some important history.
