We booked this tour last minute and it was great from the first phone call. We arrived at the stables and we were greeted warmly. We were then assigned a seat on the carriage and off we went. The tour was magnificent! Our guide and Teddy the horse were perfect. Everything went smoothly all while learning the history of Charleston with a humorous twist. This tour was incredible. We highly recommend anyone to get on board.

Our private carriage ride was a wonderful experience- our host David was funny and it was a great tour with lots of information. Our horse Buddy was the best! This was a perfect way to see the area since it was our first visit to Charleston. The Palmetto Carriage Works takes the time to show how well they take of their horses. They are concerned with their health and well-being. I really liked that. All of the staff there were very nice as well. Could not have asked for a better experience.

My sister and our husbands took a wonderful carriage ride for four on Sunday morning, and it was amazing! Our tour guide, Malik, was so friendly and informative, and he was able to make the tour even more special. He told us details about the homes, paint colors, cobblestone streets, Tiffany glass on the front doors and the history of previous home owners. We all enjoyed our tour immensely and didn’t want it to end! Taking this tour is a must if you visit Charleston. ❤️

A Must do experience for anyone visiting Charleston. Palmetto Carriage tour was a highlight of our trip. Our tour guide did a fantastic job explaining not only the beautiful sites along the way, but also explained how the horses were cared for, and the strict health guidelines that are followed to make sure the horses are not overworked. Teddy, our horse, was beautiful and he did a great job. The stables were very clean and well maintained, and the waiting area and process for loading and unloading from carriage was so organized. Staff were all helpful and polite. We really couldn't have asked for anything better. We added on the Harbor Tour and that was another fantastic event. Very very highly recommend Palmetto Carriage Works!!

The experience was very fun and educational. The guide I rode with, Jenny, had a good sense of humor and our horse Teddy was most handsome. I learned a lot on this tour and recommend doing the tour before exploring further on foot. As a horse enthusiast, I would have appreciated a little more information about the horse side of things and what role carriage horses played in the history of Charleston
