Absolutely stunning rest stop. Beautiful architecture, educational, and accessible. I felt like I should pay money to walk through. The staff was so knowledgeable about the area, they had recommendations and information beyond what is presented, which is a lot! Grab a brochure on literally anything Wyoming- camping, hiking, state parks, national parks, history, animals, etc. They also have a dog park and potable water for your RV. Should be a definite stop on your way through!

The most excellent rest area. Clean bathrooms potable water for RV dump site Free. Walking area. Thank you for the hospitality. Plus a museum. All rest areas should learn from this shining example.

A nice place to stop by. The facility is clean and well maintained. The rest area has a tourist office and a history of Wyoming museum like section that is unique and worth checking out. There was ample parking space.

Where do I start? TOM! Tom is the gem of Wyoming. We had zero plans on our way to Hartville, stopped for a quick restroom break and we met Tom. He has a passion for sharing knowledge, unique spots to visit and a true joy for what he does. Myself and two friends took his suggestion to check out Terry Bison Ranch and had the most magical bison train experience of our lives. We happened upon two gals who run a goat sanctuary and they let us hold two day old baby goats. We found out later that we could make a donation and name a goat. And we named that two day old baby goat Tom. You haven’t seen the last of us Tom! We love you and appreciate your incredible energy that set the tone for our trip!! We will NEVER forget you!!

Easily the best welcome center / rest area I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to all 50 states. Even if you don’t need to stop you should stop anyway since this location tells you all about the Great State of Wyoming: Maps, information, interactive displays, display videos and a huge mastodon in the lobby. Also has picnic areas and nice paved trails with info signs. BTW you can get maps of all the surrounding states at this location.
