  • Wonderful history! Absolutely! Loved visiting here and taking in some truly unique and insightful exhibits, memorabilia, and artifacts! Artifacts! The staff was friendly and accommodating and it was a welcome reprieve from the heat to spend a good hour to 2 hours here! Fascinating background on not only the history of Chincoteague Island but a homage to the traditions and memories of times and people gone by. Highly recommend stopping in here, you won't. So appreciate what you will see! ✌️🙂👍
  • A very nice and educational visit to this lovely museum! The staff at the desk were amazing and gave us a lot of information on the museum exhibits. There was a scavenger hunt for kids and adults that assisted in guiding visitors to the museum around the exhibits. The facility covers many aspects of the history of Chincoteague from the first settlers to present day tourism and the fishing industry. Admission was $5 for adults and children under 12 were free. This place is definitely worth a visit, especially on a rainy day with little else to do!
  • Five bucks entry to meet Misty, the pony that made Chincoteague famous, face to face. It's a small museum, but provides a very thorough walkthrough thru time of the Island's history. It's definitely worth the price and visit.
  • I would give them 10 stars if I could!! So happy that we were able to get in. I have read the Misty books as a child and for my birthday, my husband took me on this trip to see her. Sadly enough, I didn’t pay attention to the times…they had shorter hours in the spring. I knocked on the door and they let us in! We gave a donation to save the Beebe farm, which I really hope they do! Love it and absolutely made my birthday trip!! Thank you!!!
  • Excellent way to spend a couple of hours. Good signage with displays. Knowledge and friendly staff.
