  • This review is more about Boatwreck BBQ but the store/museum is worth the $5 admission. Lots of cool history to learn about the island. But the food truck out front is worth the drive alone. Fall-off-the-bone ribs and the best coleslaw. $18 for a whole rack. Friendly service and great view/location.
  • A great little out of the way place to stop off at. It's $5 entry fee to walk into the building that is filled with so much rich history. There's so many antiques that it's hard to take it all in. Underneath the building is a little BBQ trailer. Dad got the mullet and I got the BBQ chicken sandwich. Portions are good and food was good, nothing to write home about but the atmosphere more than makes up for it.
  • Really interesting love the store and the history about the stone crabs, drug smugglers, the Indian traders and post office. Totally go out on a boat tour among the mangroves you go through tunnels and the dolphins come behind the boat and jump over the waves truly a great experience!
  • We enjoyed the drive down to this place. You pay a small fee to walk through the store and see what they have. Alot of history about the area and what's happened over the years. We didn't eat at the food vendor they have but I really like onion rings and think we will try it next time we're in the area. A must see if you make it to the end of the road.
  • So many original artifacts and great information about the founder Ted, his family, and the history of the store. The gift shop is mostly tacky Florida stuff but there are a few Smallwood Store postcards and stickers. This is a great end destination for a day trip through Big Cyprus and the Everglades.
