Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest is a private non-profit, 16,000 acre nature preserve located just outside Louisville, Kentucky.Work out when and for how long to visit Bernheim Arboretum & Forest and other Clermont attractions using our handy Clermont trip planner.
Over 2,000 acres are open to the public, including natural areas with hiking trails, and a beautiful 250 acre arboretum with lakes, walking paths and over 8,000 varieties of labeled plants.
Bernheim is open every day 7 a.m. until sunset, except December 25 and January 1. Admission is always free for members and free for all every weekday. Weekends and holidays have a $5 environmental impact fee per vehicle for the public.
The Visitor Center and Gift Shop are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, including weekends. Isaac’s Café is located in the award-winning green Visitor Center with refreshments. Nature classes and group hiking opportunities are available, current offerings are online at bernheim.org.
Bernheim is located in Clermont, KY, a short half hour from Louisville. From I-65, take exit 112 and follow the signs. The entrance is approximately one mile from the interstate.
Bernheim is a non-profit organization that relies on memberships, grants and donations for support.
