  • Plan to use two days to see everything in this museum. Thoroughly full if history. Native American area, HUGE gun collection, western art gallery, cafe, private collection areas, etc .. and very nice gift shop with a case of authentically made turquoise jewelry. Very well kept museum. Memorabilia from the Irma Hotel, roulette table and the wheel. We are seniors and paid $22 each and that includes the 2 day visit.
  • Really amazing place that one could spend two days enjoying. 5 different museums full of fascinating displays and information. And if you are interested in guns, this is the place for you. They have so many that you truly will leave in amazement. So happy to have had the opportunity to visit!!
  • A great museum, we could have spent days there. A wonderful collection of firearms that are well organized and documented in detail. The Buffalo Bill section was very interesting too. Very friendly and helpful staff, Debbie was outstanding! When we asked about the history of Cody, she gave us a very interesting and informative history lesson. Well worth the drive from Yellowstone.
  • Wow, what a fantastic way to spend some time in Cody! I had reserved rooms months in advance in order to make multiple visits to Yellowstone, but got knocked out of that when the rains fell and the Park was closed. We came to Cody anyway, hoping the Park might open during our stay. We decided to visit the Buffalo Bill Center, expecting to spend a couple of hours. Instead, we spent about six hours in two visits with a break for lunch at a local barbeque place (the tickets are good for multiple visits in a 2 day period). We started by visiting the Buffalo Bill section and thoroughly enjoyed the history and artifacts. Then we went to the Plains section and viewed things about the history, geography, and wildlife of the sins region. Break for lunch, then back to see the Natural History section about the wildlife and history of the West. Outstanding section! We took a quick visit to the Gift Shop before leaving. We will likely return tomorrow for the last two sections about the guns of the Old West and guns in general. The people in the Museum were very friendly and helpful. The museum had wheelchairs available for the handicapped (my wife). I have been to museums in Washington DC and this is very comparable to them. I cannot more highly recommend the Buffalo Bill Center!
  • The gun museum is AWESOME! The Native American museum is also excellent. The other sections are alright, but not what I personally was interested in seeing. I really can’t express how amazing the gun museum is after its remodel. Everything in it looks incredibly preserved and displayed, and it all looks so modern! I also appreciate the effort to remain unbiased, and show gun history as it is.
