  • My husband and I really enjoyed our visit here. Getting to take a ride in the birdcage elevator was so cool!! The alphabet exhibit was fun, we went back and forth reading them all in order. Our favorite part was the old courtroom, it is beautiful! Sitting in those chairs makes you think of all the history in that room. Also, the front desk lady was very nice and admission is free.
  • It's an old county courthouse and it's beautiful inside and out. Very well kept with the largest courtroom beautifully restored and open to tour. It has two levels and any number of displays with items from the 1800's to date. The 1917 birdcage elevator is in working order and takes you back in time when you step in it for the ride!
  • My family and I loved it, and will be going back again! The volunteers were so friendly and everything was amazingly well kept. It was really neat to get to see the history of Colorado Springs.
  • Had so much fun here. My daughter loved walking through the “old west” street, and looking in the buggies and “business” fronts. Lots to enjoy for a not-so-large museum.
  • This was a great museum! The staff was very friendly, the displays were fascinating, and the building was beautiful! I learned a lot from the displays about the history of the area. Highlights for me were the artwork of Mrs. Van Briggle, the elevator, the change machine, the qr code tour with questions about various places or exhibits (although the baseball question I got wrong because the display was misleading). I also really loved Helen Hunt Jackson's house!!
