There are also two visitor centers in the park. The Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center is open from April to October. Days and hours of operation vary. Generally, Starsmore is open Tuesday-Saturday in the spring/fall and open 7 days a week beginning Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.
Admission is always free to enter the park and the nature centers.
The park offers many great programs and events all through the year. Every spring and fall, thousands of elementary students from the Pikes Peak Region will attend programs at Starsmore. The Hummingbird Experience happens every May, the Canvases in the Canon happens in August, and the Halloween Costume Carnival happens the weekend before Halloween in October. New events and programs are always being offered, so please call for new details!
At Helen Hunt Falls, during the summer season, many daily programs are offered. The teen volunteers offer donation based presentations on local geology, hummingbirds, gold panning, and more! Hummingbird post cards are offered inside the nature center for people to color for a small donation. FREE guided hikes are offered three times a day or by request.

Gorgeous! Come prepared to hike! Water, snacks, charged phone, camera, the right shoes, and sunblock! Compass and map not a bad idea either. This place is beautiful to take the family for nature hike or for a date! To go meditate! To just relax in nature! You do need to be able to hike! You'll want good shoes on! Tons of trails. Great place for a picnic!

Nice park with lots of trails to choose from. The trails are well marked and very well maintained. Bring water and snacks for your hike. Please stop by the visitor center to get a map. Highly recommended.

Had a great experience walking one of the trails here. Parked in the parking lot at the bottom of the canyon and walked the 6 or so miles round trip to the summit of Mt. Cutler. Came in winter so not the greenest hike but was still treated to some breathtaking scenery.

This park is such a beautiful Park, they have the most wonderful sculptures that you definitely have to find and look at. It was so easy to be able to go down and walk through the beautiful running creek with my puppy no trash just beauty. A guide found us and was very kind and answered any and all questions we had. I didn't see where there was a playground but maybe I hadn't just found it yet. They have picnic tables and the deer just come up to you well not quite up to you but they come in and meander and then go very beautiful very serene. The bathrooms I could not believe how clean they were you definitely didn't feel like you were in a public bathroom I highly recommend going there and hiking, they have very easy trails and it's very easy to get up to Helen Hunt falls ❤️
