  • I'm very thankful this place exists because I love everything that has to do with rodeos! So many cool things here, I highly recommend visiting if you're planning on being in the Colorado Springs area! Something that was really cool is they have a sort of scavenger hunt that you can do that not only gets you to really read and look at everything, but if you are able to find what they tell you to, you win a prize at the gift shop! So make sure you participate in that right after getting your admission ticket! The amount of history and items in each display case are amazing! You can also go outside and see more out there including a few retired, but still beautiful as ever, horses along with their baby horses! You can't pet them though, but that doesn't matter, just being able to see these beautiful creatures in person so close is worth it! It wasn't crowded when we visited which was great! You should definitely come here and experience everything this great place has to offer!
  • This place is full of information about the history of rodeos. A very nice introductory video, played every 30 minutes, gives you a little bit of info about this sport. We stayed for a couple of hours and we barely covered all the displays.
  • If you are a rodeo fan this is the ultimate museum destination. Exhibits on persons in the action: riders, ropers, clowns, beauty queens. Exhibits on behind the scenes: announcers, agents, event coordinator's. They have outfits, saddles, belt buckles, banners. Sculptures & paintings, portraits. There is a 15min video on the history of rodeo with explanation on rules of riding & roping. The place is huge and all encompassing. Gift shop is not much after all that, just some shirts, mugs. Small. Nothing, to me that would be an exciting keepsake. If you are not at all interested in the sport of rodeo, you will be bored.
  • I loved it!! You do need to come with plenty of time to be able to see and read about the history of rodeo and about the people making that history. There were not a lot of people when we went and the place was quiet and comfortable. We bought the tickets at the entrance and didn't have to buy tickets in advance. Young kids will probably not be entertained here but there is an outdoor space where they can sit and watch a small fountain.
  • I hope you enjoy reading! There’s a lot of history and memorabilia, but its all a little bit dry. It was an enjoyable stop - but with a couple of small children it didn’t hold their attention long. However, they do have Children’s programming, which we were lucky to catch! The museum itself isn’t super handicap accessible, even with my kiddos adaptive stroller. I imagine it would be really difficult with a larger wheelchair or power chair. There is ample outdoor space but it was empty when we were there in February.
