My husband and I decided to go to Rock Ledge Ranch when we saw the parking entrance on our way out of Garden of the Gods…So glad we stop to check it out! We strolled the paths and stopped at each of the sites and listened to the detailed historic story of the ranch, beginning with the Native Americans who first inhabited the land. The docents, all dressed in period clothing and working the ranch, were exceptionally knowledgeable and were happy to answer all our questions. I was happy to see the youth docents and enjoyed speaking with them as well. There are animals on the ranch - cow, horse, chickens, geese..which kids would love to see. There are restrooms for your comfort and a General Store. My husband and I would highly recommend the Rock Ledge Ranch if you find yourself near Colorado Springs.

This is a beautiful park! Nice fall colors right now. It's free to go in if there isn't a living history program going on. Lots to see with all the trees, historic buildings and a pond.

My family discovered Rock Ledge Ranch in 2020 when my teens served as Junior Docents in the summer living history program. We fell in love with the place; the beautiful location at Garden of the Gods, the historical stories of people who made lives here in the past, and the dedicated and knowledgeable staff all add to the Ranch's charm. We've been members ever since and love to share this local gem with friends and family.

Lived here in Colorado Springs for a few years and never heard of or even discovered this gem. Breathtaking the land the homes animals ect. A vintage feel very detailed tour guides. The ladies and gents were very articulate as well as very nice. The children who also aided in the tours and reenactments were also very nice and friendly. It was a lovely Saturday ~we spent the entire better half of our day at this well kept historic site. I would highly recommend if you are visiting or a native. For a History bunny like myself i enjoyed some of Colorado Springs historic past. This museum allows you to be interactive also. Grazie ❤️💜

Rock Ledge Ranch is my favorite place to visit in Colorado Springs in the summer. The staff are so friendly and have great stories to share. We often visit one or two sites, then bring a picnic lunch to eat by the pond. A couple times, we have made a day of it and visited every site. The time line of history in this region from the Native American site to the Orchard House owned by General Palmer is fascinating. My kids love it and Grandma and Grandpa love it, too. The 4th of July event is also a lot of fun. The scenery is beautiful and the setting is peaceful.
