The 40 km (25 mi) path started as an environmental engineering project in 1989, and the first section opened to the public in 1992.     May have helped that I visited on a 77 degree day on March 4 but what an absolutely beautiful place. Enjoyed a long walk along the river and watched the kayakers battle the rapids. Lots of shops and.....  more

    We go here a lot. Very safe, Nicely built out, oh but stay on the Columbus, Ga side...the Phenix City side is Urban Outdoorsman territory

    Recently visited and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a very nice area for walking, biking, running, bird watching, talking, thinking, laughing or just relaxing. A must do!
