Home to an extensive collection of tropical plants, including many rare specimens, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden spans 34 hectares (83 acres). Opened to the public in 1938, its primary role is to preserve biodiversity. Discover colorful flowering vines, waterfalls, towering trees, and more. Don't miss the Wings of the Tropics conservatory, where you can walk among vibrantly colored butterflies. If you stay still enough, one may even perch on your shoulder. Experience the sweet smell of ripening tropical fruit at the Whitman Fruit Pavilion. The gardens also host frequent art exhibits. Absolutely beautiful! . They had food stations set up so you could grab lunch there. This place had the CLEANEST bathrooms I have ever seen in a public place. I mean spotless. Security everywhere which being a 105 lb female I really appreciated and felt safe and so peaceful just enjoying this beautiful garden and all the nature. I wwnt in the morning but I would highly recommend going for the light up night too. So nice!

Beautiful park with so much to see. Great trails to explore. Exotic plants. There is something for everyone to see. Today was a rainy day so the pictures are on the dark side. We have been other times when it was sunny and bright. Be sure to walk thru the Butterfly Garden, which is fascinating. They also have trams for a 45 minute ride. Entrance fee is $25 per adult. We were hoping to see the Lego exhibit but it wasn't there anymore.

Went on a day trip with my best friend to show her a nice time definitely the kind of place where are you can spend the day commune with nature and truly have an experience. Anyone can go to a restaurant but spending time around nature while having some delicious food at the garden restaurant was totally worth it followed by a trip through the butterfly sanctuary. Parking is a little difficult so if you do get there and noticed there is no parking I will go inside and let the front desk know so that they can open up the back parking in the low lands. If you do park in the low lands you’re better off when it’s time to leave going out through the back exit by the lake so that you can be closer to your car as there is no entrance into the lower lines from the outside without a code. Looking forward to taking my family there tomorrow for the chocolate festival.

Spent the morning with family visiting from our of town. Haven't been here in years... Glad to see it is doing so well. Super courteous staff and the volunteers we interacted with were amazing. Well took the trolley tour (about 45 minutes)... Very informative and a nice break from walking. Highly recommend it!!!

Simply beautiful…Looking to go here? GO! We’ll maintained botanical gardens. Easy to get to with ample parking. There is a tram if you don’t want to walk, but you should if you can, so you can take in all the beauty. The garden has an array of different species of plants and trees. They also often have different concerts and shows of art. During the summer you will be hot. Drink plenty of fluids and take your time.
