  • This is a lovely walk through the woods and to the sound. To get here, you go towards the 4x4 beach. Right before you get to the sand, you will see a small parking lot on the left. Park in here...

  • Beautiful peaceful easy walk with younger kids! We took their new binoculars and they were able to spot several types of birds. We also saw some fish and a snake and squirrels. Nice morning...

  • Absolutely beautiful! Easy walk along the boardwalk. Not to long either. There are some spots to sit as well. Easy to read informational signs along the way. If you meet someone going the other direction the boardwalk is a bit narrow so groups will need to go single file. And there is an off shoot trail to explore. It's calm and peaceful. You wouldn't think that just a few hundred yards away the ocean is there.
  • This is a pretty area. The scenery is great for pictures. It was recommended that we go there to try to see horses. On this day, no horses were around. We did see fish jumping up and falling back into the water which was funny to see. My dad said that is actually the fish trying not to be eaten by a predator. Oops. Sorry fish. I'm not sure how a wheelchair would do on the path. I did see a stroller. Though those are narrower. Hopefully someone who uses a wheelchair can comment on their experience.
  • Very scenic boardwalk. It also leads to path in woods too. It's takes you to overlook the ocean. We went here to watch the sunset. Absolutely beautiful
  • Such a fun experience! We rented a Jeep Gladiator off Turo (Misty Y All star host - Jeep Gladiator 2021 OBXWDRWM) Don't waist your $ on a tour unless your scared to 4x4 on the Beach! We spent the same amount of $ on a Jeep off Turo then we would have on a 2 hr tour AND we could spend the whole day out there! Do not drive your car or vehicle that's not 4x4 on the beach! you will get stuck! We had a blast! We went down into the neighborhoods and got chased by a horse! My 4 kids and neice loved being able to sit in the bed of the truck on the Beach as we were driving.
  • Went around 4pm and saw seven horses crossing the water. They were stunning! What a beautiful boardwalk.
