Beautiful, awe-inspiring redwoods! Our favorite spot in this part was the Stout Grove Trail. Absolutely worth a trip!

I'm fifty and this was my first trip to see the redwoods. I hugged these trees, literally. And spent my time there in awe. Such giants. The park and facilities were clean and well kept. The trails and campgrounds were very nice, though I felt like a dinosaur might appear on the path of that primeval forest at any moment. The park's proximity to both the coast and lovely Smith River makes it even better, Highly recommend!

What a majestic area! Absolutely beautiful! The trees are unbelievable and there are trails everywhere! We walked out into the woods and some of the ferns were as tall as we were. We did see a variety of different mushrooms of different colors that were very interesting. Nice long hikes and the beautiful ocean is right there for lots of shelling and long walks as well. Can’t say enough about the beauty of the redwoods.

We only got to do 2 of the several trails, Simpson Reed trail and Grove of Titans. We also did the driving trail. Just those 3 took us over 3 hours to do and we were kind of rushing. It was cold, damp and slippery so be prepared properly to watch the weather and wear the right shoes. Elderly or disabled will probably have a hard time on the Grove of Titans as the path up is steep. The trees are incredible. I wish people would respect nature and not carve in them, dead or alive. It would be amazing to come back and spend and entire day. We saw no animals just some snails and slugs. Oh, driving into the Grove of Titans is very snug one way road so drive carefully.

Awesome. Not enough adjectives to describe this place. Driving through the forest of giant trees is humbling. Easy pull outs to take photos and just to look. Take your time going through. Roads are narrow in spots and some folks hurry. Hikes are nice. A little hard to find since the signage is small as to not distract from the trees. By all means go

If you want to be humbled, this is where you go. Incredibly amazing drive through a forest of redwoods! If you drive thru here and feel nothing... then you're dead inside. This is one of those places that make you feel like you just feel into a journey to the center of the earth scene. Gorgeous!
