It was educational. The staff was very knowledgeable. Plenty of room to spread out. The day was beautiful and our fellow passengers were friendly.

Loved it!! All the people working there were super friendly and so informative. Listening to the history by the conductor was so interesting!! It's crazy how you can live your whole life in a state and not know about some things. It was also pretty cool to see the conductor run the train on coal!! Definitely not an easy job and they really ran around making sure everything was taken care of. Totally recommend 😊👍

I'm not sure how to start, The staff was so incredible and so nice. Everybody on the staff was so warm and welcoming and friendly. Even in the Adversity of one extremely rude and obnoxious guest. The staff remain polite and professional at all times. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. The train ride was fun the engineer was extremely knowledgeable About the area. If you're in Cripple Creek or within a 100 miles of it. You must go take the train ride. If I had one negative thing to say it would be about it about it being such a shame that they've turned it into a gambling town. They're building a 19 story modern hotel in the middle of downtown. I think it's really going to take away from the experience of Cripple Creek and that's going to be a shame.

Kind of a short little ride but worth the money. Gorgeous scenery and nice staff, especially the train engineer who seemed to love what he did. Worth going again, maybe in fall.

What a great experience for anyone interested in trains, gold mining, Colorado history and breathtaking views. At 2 feet wide the narrow gage rail feels tiny compared to modern trains and the coal fired steam engine is constantly drawing attention with all of its wonderful noises and smells. A real bargain for lifetime memories and a friendly and informative staff round out the fun. Be ready for the weather up there, it can change in an instant.

Had a lovely time, views were wonderful! Train ride was fun, however the speaker is kind of hard to hear when the train is in motion (and I do not have a hearing issue). My son, 3, loved it except for the train whistle, he cried because it scared him, was super loud which is to be expected. I suggest maybe ear protection for young ones or those who aren't fond of loud noises. I didn't think it would be an issue for my little guy but it was.
