  • This is a typical casino (money went way too fast) when it came to the machines. The building is cool, but the machines inside are the same as most casinos. It would be so cool if an old casino...

  • Ran into Cripple Creek from our mountain cabin for dinner on a cold night. We had planned on going to Maggies, but it was closed because it was off season. We were happy to find Nolon's restaurant...

  • Tip: If you are getting no service in the restaurant on the 3rd floor, head down and order from the bartenders on the 1st floor. We were on the 3rd floor and waited about 20 minutes at the table without any service. There were 2 servers. One was folding napkins and silverware and the other had 3 tables. Yet she didn't even acknowledge us. On our way out, we spoke with a manager who apologized and offered for us to eat at the bar. Our server, Emma was very attentive and interactive with us. The food was really good and we would return.
  • Awful experience. Me and my brother were treated poorly because we are young. The blonde bartender and the male security guard were not nice. The security guard was charging after us for our IDs even though we are clearly over age. I'm 31 and he could have asked nicely. The bartender was the worst. She was nice to everyone else but us because we are younger than the others in the building and we are younger than most people in cripple creek. We were about to spend a lot of money there but they were rude so we left.
  • OK, so Johnny Nolan's is the oldest and longest active casino. It is really an interesting place. It is very nostalgic and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Can't say too much about winning cause. I'm not very good at slots, but I did see a lady win quite a bit there when we visited. If you're into hauntings and things, then I can tell you that Johnny Nolan is definitely still keeping an eye out over his domain. If you are a sensitive you will know right away. This place is definitely worth a visit. Don't miss it when you come to Cripple Creek.!
  • The casino itself is not one of the better ones in town. However the atmosphere is quiet, most of the staff are friendly and the service is ok here. The restaurant is where you want to be though! The food is fantastic when Mary and Larry are cooking. The avocado burger was cooked by Mary and served within 15 minutes of sitting down. The crispy chicken salad was made by Larry ( it's my favorite thing on the menu ) and was also served within 15 minutes. (2 different visits) UPDATE: They have a new waiter. He's awesome! He's young but very friendly and the service is so much better when he waited on us then it has ever been in the past! The next time you go in to eat ask for Tyler!
  • First off we had to wait a while only one staff member working the floor. We didn't get our steaks cooked as ordered. A manager gave us credit for one meal since I ate mine. First off I wasn't going to wait any longer for my food to be cooked again. Secondly they forgot our soup so our salad came out with the meal. I will not recommend this place or return for a meal either. Was not the meal we had asked for.
