This place was so interesting. The stories behind the jail and to learn that it is haunted and been on the travel channel because of the paranormal activity. Very glad we toured through this.

This place is a must see when here in Cripple Creek. Amazing how advanced it was for being built at the turn of the century. The tour was short but insightful. Lots to look at & the gift shop was tastefully stocked with some great stuff at very reasonable prices. Jack Dempsey (the boxer) even stayed here for a quick minute.

Great place to visit and learn about Cripple Creeks outlaws and law men. Such an interesting Museum great friendly staff...not to mention the Jail break/ shoot out was too cool too! It's not free but the admission is worth the visit.

Great museum! Not a great tour with a stroller but they’re super friendly about you trying. The first part is an employee giving you the background and a summary of what you’re going to see. Then you are free to roam the cell block, matrons quarters and women/children cell. There is some great prints of historic articles with accompanying art. It was a fun tour, most of the cells are open to walk into. My 5yr old had a blast as did we.

Wow, I am extremely glad that I happened to drive by this museum and check it out. Not only was the staff an absolute pleasure to talk with, they were highly knowledgeable on the history of the jail and the surrounding area. A fun quick stop that I highly recommend going to see.

A fun way to spend some time during my visit to Cripple Creek. There were lots of fun tidbits and little known facts to be absorbed. There's two floors to explore in the jail itself and then a small replica Sheriff's office and gift shop.
