Located inside one of the city’s most historical buildings, the Brass Ass Casino features old town street scene décor, including street lamps, western building facades and the original Cripple Creek lighted sign from H.H. Rosser’s Pool Hall. This Colorado casino is named after the painted wooden brass ass in the table games room – one of the original brass donkeys that launched boats with a well-placed kick at the 1893 World Exposition in Chicago.By using our Cripple Creek tour itinerary app, you can arrange your visit to The Brass Ass Casino and other attractions in Cripple Creek.
The Brass Ass Casino offers live action Blackjack, High Five Poker, Craps, 3-Card Poker and Roulette. Tables are open 24 hours 7 days a week. It’s the oldest casino in Cripple Creek, but we offer the most up-to-date video poker and slot machines, plus the largest selection of nickel slots of any casino in town!
If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, check out the Miner’s Pick in the lower level of the Brass Ass. You can pick up a slice of pizza, freshly made salads, sandwiches and much more in just a few minutes. Pick from a great selection of specialty beverages and hot menu items. The Miner’s Pick is the best choice for those on the run!

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the hotel, it was clean and cozy. We had some special needs for my wife. Barbara the Senior Hospitality Manager made everything perfect. Best breakfast in years.

My absolute favorite place to gamble! I love their selection of slots, their courteous and fun staff and the attention they give to their customers. Make sure you check them out whenever you visit Cripple Creek - you won't be disappointed.

It was a really nice casino fairly large and we actually win some money so that was nice!

Easy way to pass a couple of hours when you’re in town, more fun feeling than some others nearby. Just wish the restrooms were updated. My favorite is drinks were on house while we gambled, and we did it really slow since we are new to it, the bartender was very sweet and could make you any drink you want as long as you tell her what’s in it. It was just one bartender though so you did have to wait a couple of minutes. You can only order every 20-30 min so order multiple drinks if you know you’ll down more than 1 within that timeframe - also pace yourself, to get here it’s windy roads. No drinking and driving

Love the variety of play options here. The tables are great, dealers are super kind. Luke made my experience very enjoyable. Everytime I visit here I have to stop for one of the delicious pretzels and cheese at The Miners Pick, great cost and great customer service, CJ is always very kind and helpful!
