Shuttle Shack, Damascus

If you’re planning to ride the VA Creeper Trail visit the Shuttle Shack in the heart of Damascus. Jennifer and her husband are very knowledgeable about the trail and taking care of your needs. Every fall we try to get to Damascus, VA to ride our bikes on the 17 mile Virginia Creeper Trail. This fall the colors were amazing, but the day we went was threatened with rain. We typically go up and stop in Damascus to load our bikes on a trailer and get shuttled up to Whitetop, VA for the downhill ride. This year we selected the Shuttle Shack. It’s location is perfect and they were able to book us early (at 8:30 AM). They also rent bikes, but we brought our own. The staff was über friendly and helpful. The ride up takes about 30 minutes. They unload your bikes up there as well. Don’t forget to give your driver a tip!

We rented 4 bikes on a Friday and were given 20% off without even asking! The lady running the shop was very nice. We showed up early so they got us on an earlier shuttle. The driver was very safe and nice. The bikes were very nice! We loved our rental bikes and will definitely be back again.

Wonderful experience! Family owned and operated. Comfortable vans driving up the mountain, beware the road is winding, my daughter was getting car sick, but she made it! They took good care of our bikes. Can not wait to go back and try the entire trail.
