  • Great fun to visit! You can feed the trout in the hatchery (be sure to bring quarters for trout chow!), walk the path near a beautiful trout stream, or just sit near Siewers Spring and appreciate the wonders of nature. Restrooms are clean and there are shaded places to picnic.
  • What an awesome spot to stop and see the different stages of trout and learn about the hatchery process. The grounds are immaculately maintained (beautiful spot and even some falls), you can get in any time. I'm my opinion, it is a must stop in Decorah. Make sure to bring quarters for the trout feed and save some for the pond with the big fish! If you like to fish I did see some trout pulled out of the small spring fed stream on the grounds.
  • A must see for me whenever I'm in Decorah. Living on the other side of the state, I don't get over here very often. The whole area around the Hatchery, including Siewers Spring Park and the eagle nest, is well worth a visit !!
  • Very cool initiative located next to lovely walk/bike path. Bring quarters to feed the fish! Not sure of what environmental impacts the facility has, if any.
  • Interesting and educational for kids of all ages/youngest to oldest, and adults. Good trails to walk.
