This is a magnificent natural area, heavily used in Summer for activities on the water, but also beautiful to visit in winter when the trees are bare and views are better

We went kayaking on the Delaware Water Gap and it was glorious. Despite the water level being somewhat low, it was a glorious day to paddle down the river to the pick up point.

Beautiful Hiking place for anyone. There are 2 sides to go up the mountains. Green Dots has better views of the river and beautiful pathways Red Dots is for more extreme hike where you would have to climb rocks and climb up hill! I really recommend this Spot for a great workout or to just have a small walk next to the river!!

If you're looking for this view, make sure you put in Mt. Tammany trail into google maps. I made the mistake of putting in "Delaware Water Gap" and google maps put me into the recreation area. No complaints at all, as it was a beautiful day and I got to drive through most of the recreational area (decent amount of empty little communities but with beautiful foliage), but the actual gap is south of the recreational area. A very gorgeous area with lots to do- fishing, boating, trails, etc. I'll definitely be coming back.

It was so beautiful and nice. We loved it. BE CAREFUL THOUGH THERE IS BEARS THERE. AS SOON AS IT STARTS TO DARK THEY COMING OUT AND START BREAKING THE TREES NEXT TO YOU IF FOR SOME REASON YOU STAYED FOR A NIGHT THERE. SO CAREFUL

Excellent area with plenty of locations to camp, trails to hike, or you can raft/kayak/tube down the river. beautiful scenery and the weather is excellent from May to September

It was a good experience of hiking. A good place for adventure lovers. Don't leave anything in your car. I had a bad experience of stealing stuff from the locked car.
