  • Tour was nice but would've loved to go through more of the cabin with guide. Emma was very knowledgeable.

  • This was our first plantation tour, but it will not be the last. We took a pleasant 60 minute drive from NOLA to the plantation. I was in love the moment we turned into the lot greeted by the most...

  • Excellent tour! Very informative! The tour guide was pleasant and she was knowledgeable about the house and grounds. You can come early and walk around the grounds on a self-guided tour of the slave quarters and the school. There's also a gift shop and public restrooms which were clean. Would definitely do the tour again!
  • The Destrehan Plantation tour was amazing. Our tour guide, Ms. Beverly, was so personable and knowledgeable about all the information about the plantation. She made the tour worthwhile. The home itself is a magnificent structure. The property is beautiful, but it was used as a prison for 200 slaves in its distant past. I believe everyone should visit this place. It holds a significant and priceless place of value to the history of the south and our nation.
  • We really enjoyed walking under the big live oak trees and touring the buildings. If you pack a picnic lunch, this would be the perfect place to enjoy eating. Great place to take children. They can run and play and burn off some of their energy.
  • This was a fantastic plantation tour! Definitely the best we have been to thus far. Mary did a great job as our guide telling us about the history and pointing out significant elements and artifacts along the way. Highly recommend!!
  • This plantation wasn't on our itinerary, but are we glad we visited. Beautiful mansion and grounds. Our guide, Miss Evelyn, was in period dress and very knowledgeable abut the plantation. Make sure you include a stop here. It's worth your time.
