What an absolutely gorgeous place to visit ! Although it isn't a lengthy trail, the views back & forth was so worth the trip ! The stream was so peaceful, the sound of the water was incredible. You can just sit, listen & enjoy nature. Nice that most of the the trail is laid out in wood so makes it easier for those who cannot walk on rocky surfaces & plenty of seating along the way. When you arrive at the Falls it is a spectacular view, again you're able to sit on a bench & eat your lunch or just relax & listen ! There isn't too much when you go past this point but it's beautiful as well, nature photo ops are endless as you hike towards the top of the falls. Worth every moment !!

This has been one of our “go to” walks for decades! It is always a pleasure year round. ( Although in the winter you have to park outside the site and walk in about 3/4 mile to get to the trail head.) The NPS does an excellent job of maintaining the wheelchair accessible walkway from the parking lot to the main attraction, Dingman’s Falls. As an added bonus, for those fit enough to tackle steep stairs, you can climb up a well maintained trail to the top of the falls.

very nice 130' Waterfall. We accessed it from the Doodle Hollow Road and the trail is hard to follow and not marked. It's about a 1-mile hike from the road closure to the falls it a beautiful, forested area. There is some elevation you'll have to get over using this route. Trail is moderate to difficult. The Falls themselves are very impressive. Once at the falls the area is well maintained with about a 13 story set of steps up/down the falls with very nice viewing areas on the top and bottom.

Absolutely gorgeous falls and a must visit for any travel enthusiast. On weekends and on holidays, you have to park the car pretty far from the visitor center and walk, but on a regular day you can drive up to the visitor center. Take a very short and simple hike to watch both the falls. There are stairs to reach top of the falls and it is highly recommended. The place is serene with lots of photo opportunities. Overall a great experience and if you are in Pennsylvania a must visit place.
