  • We are top fans — and Wine Club members! The wine is lovely, winemaker Julien is terrific, the staff is kind and knowledgeable, and the views are perfect.

  • DuCard is without a doubt one of the finest wineries in Virginia. It is on par with any of the boutique wineries in Napa. Excellent wines and incredible atmosphere.

  • Wine was delicious and the staff seems to love their jobs! We enjoyed their charcuterie board as well.

  • Update: We returned for their wine and chocolate pairing seminar and had a really nice time. An actual Lindt master chocolatier came to talk about Lindt chocolate and pairing it with their wine. The presentation was about 90 minutes long and there were plenty of opportunities to ask about chocolate making. We've been to Hershey's chocolate and wine pairing class and DuCard's is much more chocolate-centered than Hershey's. There they have a master sommelier teaching you how to enjoy wine and how to pair it with different chocolates and other foods. DuCard's showcased the woman's journey to become a chocolatier, her job duties and Lindt's production line sprinkled with stories of her friendship with DuCard's owner, who would give a little story of the wine each chocolate piece was paired. I believe they said they hold this event twice a year. Although it was a nice afternoon, no new knowledge about wine pairing was gleaned from the presentation. If we lived closer, we would return for another class but a trip out there for us requires at least an overnight stay making for quite the expensive weekend. We'll keep an eye on their calendar of events for other interesting activities though. Nice vineyard with beautiful views and tasting rooms. We enjoyed having some munchy options too while enjoying their vibrant wine flights. A month later, we received a thoughtful thank you note from the owner and inviting us back to the winery for one of their upcoming events. We're taking them up on their offer and returning for their chocolate and wine pairing seminar next month
  • The views at this vineyard were incredible. Staff was so friendly and helpful and the wine was delicious! Their Shenandoah white is amazing! Had to bring a bottle back to Jersey.
  • Amazing place with an atmosphere unlike no other vineyard. The best wine around and always having entertainment events and local artists. The artist they had when I last visited was Patty Sevre she does custom glass engraving! It was an amazing thing to watch! If you want great wine, entertainment, and an amazing atmosphere this is the place for you!
  • Very tasty wines in a relaxing environment. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and host a very warm atmosphere. Flights come in red, white or mixed. We had a red and a mixed selection and were both pleased. The reds included a rosé with strawberry notes that I liked best. The white selection included the Shenandoah that was a bit too sweet for me but still had great flavor. Ducard is a bit of the main road but it shouldn't be missed. We'll look forward returning.
  • Absolutely gorgeous location, albeit in the middle of nowhere with absolutely no cell service. Perhaps somewhat limited options for tasting, but definitely worth the trip. C'est Trop is a fantastic port-style wine. Friendly and knowledgeable service.
