Create an itinerary including Blanchard Springs Caverns
Explore living limestone caves when you delve into Blanchard Springs Caverns. Guides will lead you through deep caves, referred to as "living" due to their constantly changing state from dripping water. You can choose the intensity and difficulty of the caverns you tour. On the Dripstone Trail, view a wide range of formations and cave creatures, such as salamanders and crickets. This trail is accessible to strollers and wheelchairs, though strong assistance will be needed. Discovery Trail has lots of steps, so you will need to be mobile, but it takes you much deeper and features an underground stream. If you're adventurous, take the Wild Cave Tour, where you explore undeveloped sections of the cave. For this one, you will need to be in good physical shape, have sturdy boots, and be ready to crawl and get dirty. • This was a super cool cave! I’ve been to a LOT of caves through the US and this one was one of the most interesting. It is a living cave and wonderful examples of flow stones, stalactites, stalagmites, cave straws, curtains, cave popcorn, etc. Our whole family had a great time! The Dripstone Tour was age and ability friendly. The tour guides were knowledgeable, funny, and thorough. Would definitely go again!
  • I absolutely love this place. I have spent a lot of time practicing long exposure shots on the springs waterfall and the mirror lake falls. The cave tours are informative and super beautiful. Totally worth checking out. The surround area is gorgeous and not a bad hike either. The campground was very well taken care of. I would love to camp out here some day.
  • Great cave to visit! Reopened after being closed for 2 years. The Dripstone tour offers a .4 mile tour with a few sections of incline but is paved walkways all the way with handrails. Beautiful experience to see with some incredible sites in the surrounding areas that includes a spring fed waterfall you can get incredibly close to.
  • Kristi and Becky did an awesome tour today at Blanchard Springs caverns. It has been years so today was a refreshing walk to remind me of how mighty God’s art work is and how nature creates such a beautiful timeless backdrop. I encourage everyone to experience this cave history tour sooner than later.
  • Definitely worth checking out! Becky was a great guide! Over 200 feet underground, the cathedral room is massive and stunning, this is a "see in person" adventure, no photos will ever capture the beauty of these caverns. The massive size of the caverns is astonishing! USFS goes to great lengths to preserve the integrity of this space. We went in November and did the Dripstone Tour, at the end of the tour we road a bus back to the caverns welcome center.
