The museum was very nice and the mound was a fun climb. Really hard to imagine the view from here so many years ago.

Didn't go to museum, but climbed stairs to find tall grass & weeds. Not much of a view as its pretty much industrial park.

A well preserved Indigenous, ceremonial, tree mound. Very well presented and you have the ability to walk up the mound. There is a small but informative museum about the history of the Indigenous and their progression through history. There is also a short film that is very informative.

This museum was redesigned few years ago and looks amazing. It's small but gives an in-depth look at local indigenous life around the time the mound was constructed. The mound itself was gifted to the City of Florence in 1945; unfortunately, the encircling wall has been destroyed. The mound and museum are located in an industrial part of town and you can get a good look at the surrounding industrial area from the top of the mound, which you ARE allowed to walk up and walk on top of. The volunteers inside are very knowledgeable and can give you a really good idea of the history of the mound, its preservation, and archeological findings.

Very nice and informative tiny museum, too bad that the mound itself has been constructed all around. It is really not looking good with all that industry destroying the landscape around it. Visited November 23, 2021
