Neptune State Scenic Viewpoint, Florence

As of September 6th, 2021 this beach has millions of dead jellyfish all over it. Kind of gross, but also kind of interesting if you've never seen something like that. Otherwise the beach has a short trail down from the parking area which is not too tough except for the beach end of it which has some scrambling to do to get down. Portions of the beach are covered in a maze of rock formations about 5 to 15 ft in height which are interesting to explore. The scenic road bridge can also be seen from the beach, as can Captain Cook point. No restrooms at the Neptune North end of the beach, at least. Some beautiful gravel and chunky beach to crawl over. There is a fun mix of fresh water and salt water here. Great Rock picking. But beware. It's a rough place at times. Mid-November I witnessed a couple swept off their feet by a sneaker wave! No joke brother! Trend lightly but enjoy your adventures!!

Lovely beautiful beach with characters. Long stretch with some big rocks and a creek. The ocean water is cold but the creek is not. It's a perfect beach to enjoy both! Fine soft sand to walk on.

Had a lovely day with my son at the beach! The water is breathtaking!

Definitely the 3rd best spot if you wanna do a headstand on a grassy bluff overlooking the Oregon Coast!
