Downtown OWA, Foley

Enjoyable way to spend a day strolling through shops, seeing a magic show, tasting “moonshine” (which was available in over 26 flavors!), eating a variety of snacks or a meal before playing at Tropic Falls Water Park. Owned and operated by Indigenous American Indians👏

Lots of shopping and dining options! Lots of picturesque places! Many neat things to see and do. They kids also got to see Santa for a long time. It was a good visit, not rushed. The kids even got a free prize - ornaments and pictures frames they can decorate. Updated: went back six months later and still just as fun. Not crowded. Most shops not open. Some restaurants not open. Many shops and restaurants are not kid-friendly and don’t really make sense (out of place) at an amusement park.

Many shops have been permanently closed to include restaurants, but overall experience was nice. We were there over the New Years weekend.

We’re locals and are always wondering when the tourists will discover this place. Maybe they don’t realize how much there is outside the theme park. Downtown Owa reminds us of Downtown Disney, with fun shops and a splash pad and restaurants or to-go stands. There are sidewalks throughout and plenty of places to stop and rest or chat, by the lake, at the outdoor amphitheater, or along the streets.
