Folly Beach Public Beach, Folly Beach

Came here for a beautiful sunrise. Nice quiet and accessible beach. Parking available on the side of the road, with a pay machine to print out the prepaid parking slips. Beach is walkable with soft sand, and the occasional seashells.

Of all the beaches around Charleston, Folly has the most lively vibes if that's what you're looking for. The road that you enter the island on, is lined with restaurants and bars. It's small but there are lots of fun places to go! During the summer or on a warm day, traffic gets backed up if you don't head there before 11. Parking can also be tricky. We don't have great waves around Charleston, but if you want to surf, Folly is the place to go. The Washout, particularly!

It has always been my favorite. Great evening parking, always very clean at the washout. Just all in all my fav beach to visit.

Folly beach is really unlike any other beach spot. The locals are amazingly inviting and the vibe is truly relaxing! Rent a golf cart and you can get around super easily! We love it here. Best vacation beach spot in SC and only minutes from downtown Charleston!

Beautiful beach that is very clean. Parking can be tricky so get there early. There are plenty of restaurants and lots of little shops. They are still constructing the Folly Beach fishing pier.
