  • Impressed by our experience here! The workers in the visitor center were so nice and helpful! We took our time and explored all the battlefield had to offer. I loved being able to dial in for the phone guided tour. We went on the driving tour as well! Just an awesome visit with tons of information!
  • Guided tours of the battle sights. Cemetery is a mass grave sight. Well maintained grounds with handicap access. There's also a visitors center with maps and souvenirs. The main house was used as a makeshift hospital during the battle. There is also a separate kitchen for the house that you can check out. A workers cabin can also be seen. The house well is capped off.
  • Oh no... they close at 5 and I arrived @ 5:30 🙄. Since I still have a couple hours to drive to get to my destination, I drove around for a little bit and located Stop 1 Confederate High Tide. The Battlefield is very clean and spacious. It has informative historic markers and signs. If you have time, I highly recommend doing the entire driving tour.
  • I took my son to experience the Heavy Thunder Summer Artillery program. The reenactment was wonderful. The re-enactors were very knowledgeable, kind and patient with all my questions.
  • Nice little museum that has great animated map of battle inside. Driving tour just ok. Most of battlefield not preserved but used as fields for crops now, though there are a few trenches.
