Michigan Heroes Museum, Frankenmuth

Absolutely fantastic hidden Michigan gem! This museum has an amazing collection of military history, Michigan soldiers' stories, and artifacts and memorabilia. For me it's an absolutely essential stop on a Frankenmuth visit, and well worth a trip on its own merit! The staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and the museum itself is well organized and well cared for. A fantastic place for researching a school project, brushing up on military history, or just spending a day learning more about the amazing things people from Michigan have accomplished.

An absolute Hidden Gem. Everyone who is a resident of Michigan should visit here. Antonio who was a volunteer was excited to tell me and my son about the heroes who served our country and made the experience very memorable. We were not there as long as we wanted because we had a tight schedule but this is seriously a place to read the stories about the different people with ties to Michigan that have served our great country.

I was very surprised at the number of exhibits here. There are a lot of stories, and I think it has been carefully curated. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Absolutely wonderful, informative and interesting museum. The staff told us about many of the displays and we didn't even have a tour scheduled. I would highly recommend this as a stop if you are in the area. There is displays for many various past and present wars and we learned about the Polar Bears unit. They also have Bingo cards available for young children to search for objects as they go through the museum.

I'm a veteran, and a military history enthusiast. I've been to small military museums all over the US, and the Michigan Heroes Museum was great. Lots of great artifacts and exhibits. I really like that it was focused on Michigan military and astronauts. Some of the information wasn't unique to this museum, but it was still presented in their own unique way. Staff was friendly, and we spent right about 2 hours to walk through and see everything.
