As a member of the Kentucky Historical Society free admission for you and one person/spouse is a bargain and good for a year. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful. It’s not a huge museum...

Great slice of Kentucky history; from the beginning of the state through mid 1900’s. Very nice interactive displays and an educational play area for the younger kids. We thoroughly enjoyed our stop in the research library as well.

I went with my son's 5th grade class for a field trip. The tour guide for the old capital building was great. She held all the kids attention and had them participating in discussion. It was pretty cool sitting in the rooms where they ran the government of KY back in the day. The floating stair case was really neat and the library was beautiful,.even thought it was smaller than I thought it would be.

It's a very nice place with the history of Kentucky. We were there for the Memorial of Officers of Kentucky who passed away while working and other causes of death. Our son died on the way to work last year.It was very nice.

Ky Historical library is the place for geneology research, endless book, records, etc. I visited the Ky History museum years ago and was in my opinion too "politically correct" because of liberal views about the Confederates. An effort to remove Southern History.
