Hickory Hollow Horse Farm, Gettysburg

I couldn't say more about this awesome company. We had a lot of first time riders in our group, and some that were a little scared to ride a horse. The caretakers and operators made sure that everyone was comfortable on the horse, and made mounting and dismounting a breeze. They went over safety directions very thoroughly, and I could tell that their horses were extremely loved and well maintained. They skillfully matched every horse personality up to each rider, and took into consideration the needs of every rider, including one party member in her 70s with an iffy knee. I would 100% recommend this horseback riding tour for any family. It is absolutely worth the cost, and you can tell the expertise all of the individuals involved in this operation. Where else will you get historical tour on horseback? It is clear that they have been in this business for 40 years and know and love their horses and their craft.

Took my daughter for her 7th birthday, and we couldn't have had a better time. They chose the right horse for her being a beginner, and encouraged her the whole time riding. The tour guide talking about Gettysburg was great and very knowledgeable. They even made sure we could ride with rain in the forecast by moving our time up an hour, and the weather participated nicely. We would recommend this trail ride to anyone!

What an amazing experience! Such friendly people. The instructor made me feel like she knew me! She knew my name and gave such good energy and great vibes! My girls loved riding and can’t wait to go back. Lots of patience and instruction. Would deff recommend! Glad I got to experience this with my babies. We will be back!

The horses are absolutely amazing at this farm. The owner Pam was so kind and friendly, you could tell the horses were like her own kids. Would definitely use this place for riding any time in Gettysburg.

Such and awesome trail ride on the battlefields of Gettysburg. Our guide was a wealth of information. Our wranglers kept us safe. And the horses were gentle and sweet. I love Big Moe!
