Hammond Castle Museum, Gloucester

We visited this museum on a Saturday morning. It was well worth the visit. The castle is in really good condition and doesn’t take too long to go through. I didn’t know much about the man but was really impressed by what he’d done. Over the course of his life he held hundreds of patents. He was also a collector of various art styles. The views are really good as it sits above the ocean. Tickets are available inside or can be bought on your phone. You can self guide or take a guided tour. There’s plenty of parking available. It’s well worth a visit.

Very unique place. Loved the antiques that are part of the structure of the castle. With all the thought put into every aspect of this place, it's more than just a big, oddly located castle in New England with old decorations. Definitely worth the visit and the tour guides add a lot to the experience!

Great place to visit with your family or friends! They offer guided and self guided tours and the castle is filled with lots of art pieces and historic objects. Each room is unique and interesting. I don’t know if younger kids would enjoy but teenagers and adults would definitely find it very fun.

Must visit if you are in that area. It’s a beautiful castle with splendid views from the garden side. Take care of few things: -bag packs are not allowed -strollers aren’t allowed -there are lot of beautiful round stairs which can be very steep at some points, take care if you are going with kids/infants - It would take at least 25-30 minutes to finish the tour if you do it quickly, otherwise please plan well and try to spend more time there, lovely details in architecture and lot of art work to be admired!

This castle is a unique visit. It's a eclectic place with artifacts from all over Europe built right into the walls. The knowledgable tour guide is worth it. Even on a rainy day we enjoyed seeing the outside.
