  • Fun to track the historical ways and trails. This doesn’t take long and adds to your knowledge. It’s not always open and you should check or call ahead. But informative.

  • Really cool stop. Very interesting. Only open on Saturday. So plan ahead. The locals can tell you more history in depth.

  • Well worth the time to visit to gain insight into western and local history- including but not limited to the Donner-Reed expedition. You often do need to plan ahead to access the museum as does...

  • Really neat little historical museum in Grantsville. Fascinating artifacts from the early pioneers and settlers as well as native Americans. There are some interesting structures and old wagons on the property as well. Craig was our guide and he was a gifted story-teller and so interesting to listen to, very knowledgable.
  • There's a lot of very interesting memorabilia and the docent at the time we were there, craig, did a great job on the history of the museum and the Grantsville area.
  • About a year ago I found out that this museum was going to be open to the public memorial Day weekend and I marked it on my calendar. Normally you have to make an appointment to take it to her. Took my wife's son in law and daughter out there. Love the ride out. The guides at the museum were outstanding with their knowledge of the donor party and showing us the various artifacts that have been gathered over the years. This is a real treasure and would recommend anyone getting together a group or a family and make an appointment to go see it. Even the outside has some interesting exhibits so even if you don't have an appointment and you're in the area please stop by.
  • Cool place to learn new things. Very interesting. Very clean.
  • The website says it opens on memorial day weekend, but it seemed not in 2022. We do need an appointment in advance. Some outside exhibit is still available.
