Find yourself transported back in time at Noah Bud Ogle Cabin and discover what life was like for the pioneers in the Appalachian Mountains. The cabin of a "saddlebag" type--two similar cabins joined by a single chimney--is a rare structure within a typical 19th-century Southern Appalachian mountain homestead. You can see that the two cabins weren't built at the same time if you look at the unleveled roof. Inside the cabin, you won't find any furnishings but you can still enjoy some interesting original features, such as a tiny window for chicken near the floor and fireplaces made of rubble. Noah Bud Ogle Cabin is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , world travel planner Edition.

it's a cabin, similar to other cabin inside the park, it's a short walk to go to that cabin, after this point, there will be one-way drive.

We planned on going to visit other places but unfortunately the roads were closed. This trail was on the way back to the city, and I was happy we made the stop. There are a lot of gorgeous views of the river. Fun with children and easy for them as well (14, 13, 6). We did visit the cabin, and it was nice as well. I recommend it!

Beautiful old homestead with so much history. It was wonderful to be able to explore and for my daughter and I to learn about it. A bird was inside and scared us royally when we walked in. It was really amazing to see. Take time to walk down to the water, too! After this stop Rainbow Falls and the Motor Trail were also great. Saw quite a few bears, though.

Saw a bear 🐻. Saw a cool cabin. Pretty area to walk around. Sad to many trashy people carve and draw on it. Overall it was a pleasant drive and view. This whole area is something special to explore. Go do so.

Love this place. Well maintained and incredible trails. We took the trails out to the corn mill and the river was rushing and amazing. The vibe was excellent, the weather was excellent, and all of the visitors were excited as we were.

Awesome nature trail and alot of history on this beautiful, well maintained homestead. The area was easy to walk towards and they had accessible parking. The site was not crowded at all, as that made it easier to explore.
