Bluff Point, Groton, Ct, Groton

Nice big state park to explore. Went on a cool spring day so no flying bugs yet but LOTS of ticks. Picked three off myself and my dog before we left, found another one on her once I got home. It's a big mountain biking place as well and I've heard lots of good things about it but have yet to ride here. I'll be back in the summer to check it out again and maybe go for a swim.

A great place to take a walk on a sunny day. I should mention the rest rooms at the end of the point are out of commission.

Great place for a relaxing hike. Great for dogs and equestrian as well. Beautiful views of Fischer's Island and Long Island Well marked trails

Beautiful walk, flat cleared easy traverse, ample parking not too crowded on a gorgeous Saturday midday. A gem. Bikes, walkers, runners, horses, dogs all on the trail.

This park is filled with options for diverse activities. Picnic grounds are readily available and may be combined with salt water fishing. A gravel boat launch may be used for small motor boats. The river and tidal pool provide excellent kayaking and paddleboarding. Off road bicyclists share the dirt road and several trails with hikers. A walk to the bluff offers spectacular views of long island sound or a pleasant stay at the beach.
