  • Love this park. Its smaller then the others but has so many paths to follow. They have a very cute fountain and many little gardens. The upkeep is outstanding.

  • You can take photos or just read a book by the fountain. If you want there is a small woodland trail to walk. A lot to do in this small piece of heaven.

  • Sayen House and Gardens is a nice, though smaller in size, public park area with a free admittance, in Hamilton Township. Sayen House and Gardens are accessed from Hughes Drive and are located between Edinburgh Rd (Old Trenton Rd) and Nottingham Way, closer to Nottingham Way. The parking is convenient, and there are slots always available (with the rare exceptions on the days of busy receptions). The area is taken up by the park itself, and the Sayen House built exactly 110 years ago, in 1912 by one Frederick Sayen (1885–1981), a local businessman and rubber manufacturer. Being a devoted gardener and amateur horticulturist, he "purchased a 30-acre parcel of land where he built a bungalow-style home and surrounded it with plants and flowers acquired while he traveled the world. His collection includes species from China, Japan, and England, many of which are still flourishing today." The Sayen House can be rented for various venues and is popular for wedding receptions. We attended one quite a few years ago. The inside offers an intimate and cozy environment, with a number of smaller rooms for socializing among guests. Even though the park is best enjoyed during warmer months with its flourishing surroundings, its picturesque paths and trails, its romantic gazebos, quaint little ponds, complete with golden fish, wooden curved bridges and various fountains - all can be equally appreciated in both fall and spring, offering lots of beautiful photo ops. The Azalea Festival, held annually on Mother's Day, is not to be missed. Restrooms and benches are located throughout the Sayen House and Garden grounds. Ideal place for a family leisurely stroll, particularly for the nature lovers. The admittance to the Sayen House and Gardens stops briefly before dusk, when the park officially closes.
  • Beautiful Park. Im fortunate enough to live close by to take regular walks through it, often with my dogs. Its a great place to walk and enjoy the beautiful landscaping. The house is a venue also for events like weddings and showers etc. I often see photographers for family photos, baby pictures and special occasion photos. You cant beat the beautiful background. I totally recommend checking it out!
  • Gorgeous venue for a wedding or just simple stroll through their luscious gardens.  Several gazebos are available for your event needs.  The parking is adequate unless there are several events taking place simultaneously then parking becomes a premium.
  • Beautiful location for photography and also for a relaxed walk. This place has beautiful flower plants and is a treat in spring. There is also a flower festival organized during spring time. There are a few small ponds in the gardens and some nice gazebos around them which creates a picturesque view. It also has open areas for organizing marriages and the Sayen house itself which can be rented for arranging food for guests. The tall trees and gardens make you relaxed taking you away from your busy life.
  • Very beautiful! We really loved the scenery. Parking was almost full when we got there. So come before 1pm or after 4pm. The grounds are small but it took us about an hour and a half to get through. The only negative part was the sheer number of people having professional photo sessions. We had to keep stopping every 5-10 minutes because people were having photos taken in the middle of the path and at every "scenic" spot. It started to become annoying, as we just wanted to be able to walk through the grounds without continuous interruptions. Every time we finally got a chance to experience a scenic spot (bridge, gazebo, etc), there was another group of photographers/clients coming to take photos. So we had to move on. So nature lovers, just be aware! On the positive side, you can tell they really care about the grounds and animals. There were signs stating that animals and plants shouldn't be touched. They had a large pond with HUGE koi fish. Absolutely stunning. We'll definitely come back, but probably earlier or later in the day to beat the crowd.
