Shiloh General Store, Hamptonville

Yes! This place is wonderful! We got amazing sandwiches and then stocked up on some unique sweet treats to take home with us. It was perfectly clean and well stocked with items you can't find anywhere else, like pickled mushrooms (which are delicious, btw). They have homemade goods galore, and the outdoor seating is the most comfortable seating you'll ever sit in. Definitely want to come back for more!!

This review is of the Shiloh general store. How do I even begin to say enough great things about the people that work here or the food that is produced here or the items sold? From the largest selection of peanuts and dried fruits to the massive assortment of jams jellies and preserves along with an oh my God Baker's dream aisle filled with flowers this place is so amazing and the people so beyond absolutely friendly I cannot spout enough happiness about coming to this place. I randomly found out about the store by watching a YouTube video on the Amish that live in Pennsylvania and the narrator made a comment about this store saying if you're ever in the North Carolina area you need to come and see it. So early this morning we got in the truck and drove over a hundred miles one way just to come try the fresh baked bread, donuts and to see what they had to offer. Make the trip, make the time just do it you will not be disappointed. 💞💞💞

Wonderful friendly place to visit. Lots and lots of items to choose from. Anything from pickled eggs to fresh homemade sandwich.

Amazing Amish General store. While this store has a bit of everything from clothing to cooking supplies it's main stay is groceries. They have a larger variety of pickled goods, baking goods, cheeses, meats eggs, baked goods, sweets and treats. They also have a fantastic deli counter that offers great sandwiches. Thier prices are great as well for comparison thier fresh deli meats cost about half of what we pay at our local grocery store. I would highly reccomend giving them a visit if you get the chance.

What can I say. This place is a little treasure and pretty close to my house. I go a lot just to get the sweet snacks like pumpkin cookies and oatmeal cream pies. They have fresh meats they sell and also make sandwiches for lunch. Today I got Turkey and my wife got Roast Beef. They use fresh sourdough bread and all the condiments. I devoured mine before I remembered to take a pic so I managed a pic of her roast beef and the delicious pumpkin cookie. There’s chairs on the front porch you can use to eat at. Sometimes you can get lucky and see some of the community folks riding on the area roads in their horse and buggy’s. Pretty cool.
