  • Great birding opportunities. We saw javelinas and possums. During the Bird migration I saw ten new species of bird. We visited three times in our short stay in Harlingen.

  • Good place to walk only advice i have is take water, some repelent just in case and good walking/running shoes, so I like the fact that it's natural they left it as is. Only thing is they keep up with the edges of trail so they won't close in and they put some benches so you can rest that is nice. Instead of sitting on the ground. So it's perfect peaceful and quiet. I ran into some small critters so I snapped some pics.
  • Nice park. Well maintained trails and gardens. It was busy both times we when, but did not feel overcrowded because of the plethora of loop trails. Saw my first green jay & great kiskadee here. So that was personally special for me.
  • Stopped her to get in a quick walk before flying out and what a treat! I couldn't walk the entire park, but I got in a quick mile and a half. In that short time, I saw a turtle, countless birds, and a couple of bunnies. It's lovely and there's this great little cactus lined path that is surreal. Such a nice park!
  • Wow! Awesome Nature Park. Nicely laid out with many birding blinds. I was able to add 5 birds to my guide list. Now on my top 5 list. We will be back again in the near future to see if we can add to our list. Kudos to all that maintain and keep this beautiful sanctuary!
  • This park was a fun walk. There were a number of birds I couldn't identify, a cottontail rabbit, loads of bumblebees flying around, and other various critters. We didn't have time for a long walk unfortunately, but it was a good time.
