  • There's a nice view of the river from this area. Rock is a little odd being covered, but worth a trip for the view.

  • Beautiful view despite the fog from morning and overnight storms. With the fog the view point wasn’t very far, but from what I could see, the views were beautiful. The hike up is very steep, but...

  • Amazing views of the Shenandoah River, and the town of Harpers Ferry. Beautiful history in regard to the nature overlook. It’s not a short hike up, about 0.1 miles. You will know you are headed in the right direction when you are heading up the stairway to the old Catholic Church. Well worth the walk!
  • nice short hike and you get to say you've been on the Appalachian trail. The view at the "top", however, isn't all that impressive. All that gushing from Jefferson turns out to be hyperbole. There are better views from the historical park and from the waterfront at Harpers Ferry.
  • Very nice views are your reward for a short, but fairly steep walk up from the town. If you’re in harpers ferry I recommend taking the extra 20-30 minutes to see the view from Jefferson rocks!
  • Short steep climb from Harpers Ferry Main Street past the church and the old church ruins. But great views at the top and little bit of history.
  • Nice historical spot and beautiful views. If you go on a weekday, especially later in the afternoon, no one is usually there! You can walk up the stairs from town but there is a bit of an incline; not a terrible hike, but may be difficult for some! If you’d rather get there without the climb, you can go through the cemetery above it for a fast walk down.
