  • We got married here, beautiful!!! With the sun, sand and water we didn't even need decorations. It was very peaceful and private the end of February. Not Tahiti, but great for Arkansas!!!

  • This beach is beautiful in every season. The spring and summer keep it very occupied but the winter months are wonderful too. The lake is absolutely gorgeous and very peaceful to view.

  • Awesome Sandy Beach to relax and swim. Lake is absolutely gorgeous and clean. No charge to access the beach, it's completely free. It's fun center for kids, family, couples or just anyone. Sand is superfine and clean. Kids love to play both in lake and sand. There is also a boating center on other end of the lake. Sunset view is just awesome. Fall season would be the best to visit but spring and summer are also good. Changing areas and washrooms are not good. They were not clean. Hope they improve it. Thank you!
  • Great little spot the day we went the wind was absolutely awful so we had to take the canopy down because it was about to break it! They have a bathroom but the porta potty was cleaner that day than the bathrooms were!! Had a volleyball net set up and you can drive your boat right to the beach
  • Okay, so here's the score for summer of 2022. It's Saturday, Aug. 6 at 3pm. We arrived at 2:30pm. Parking was okay because people that got here in the morning were leaving. The sandy area is huge - pretty much all the way from the parking lot to the river shore. There are lots of trees spaced out where people set up - completely sandy. See pictures. The only place to change is at the porta potties. At 90° F on a sunny day, that's pretty much as horrible as you might imagine. There's nowhere to put your clean clothes/bathing suit & the last signature for a cleaning was 5 days previous. Couple of tips if you need to change into bathing suits: Bring a bungie cord to use as a hook/hanger. Or, do what we're gonna do next time: stop at a clean gas station or fast food joint when we get close. I'll update more after I swim & watch the sun slide down the sky. The water is nice. I can see my feet up to about 3.25 feet (approximately a meter) deep. Plenty of room to swim and chill. Last thought while I'm on the beach - if you smoke, that's on you - we cool. If you smoke and leave your cigarette butts in the sand, you are a trash human being. Out of a hundred or more people it only takes a few trash humans to litter Sandy Beach. The fact that there were only a few cigarette butts on one little area makes me wonder if they don't have tractors to rake the beach regularly. Otherwise, the beach would quickly become nasty. And it wasn't - the sand seemed very clean as far as sand goes. If you have a long range Tesla and you're hoping to make a day trip to Sandy Beach from Memphis, TN - here's my advice: 1.) Charge to max capacity. There are no quick chargers within 30 miles that we could find. Plenty of destination chargers but they are S L O W. 2.) Drive 55 mph after you max out your last charge before Sandy Beach to get maximum battery life. 3.) Drive 55 mph back towards Memphis until you get to the next Supercharger. Or just stay the night. That's what we're gonna do next time.
  • My grandson loves swimming there in summer. This trip was to teach him how the beach was made (water level very very low) and how to enjoy a beach in winter months. We found, old petrified bones and very unusual rocks
  • Amazing beautiful place had a wonderful time with my family! Still a beautiful place. Was alot of people today but was fun. Lots of boats out for Memorial Day weekend.
